About Us
The Home Patch
The Home Patch is located in a 130 year old Heritage Inn located in Bathurst just west of the Blue Mountains. We are located on the Highway going through town with two street entrances and plenty of offstreet parking. Bus tours are always welcome, just call before hand so we can turn the jug on. With a large range of fabrics, hand dyed woven wools and patterns, unusual giftware you will always find something to look at.
Anni and Peter started the shop in 2002 when Anni’s design business (Hatched and Patched) became too big to fit in her house. The shop contains many fabrics and patterns as well as interesting giftware. The shop is positioned on the corner of the Highway, so if you’re coming from Sydney, just stay on the highway and you can’t miss us! Originally, the building housing The Home Patch was an Inn which was built around 1870, so the building itself is full of charm and character. The shop is contained in the largest part of the Inn, with Tessa, Patrya, Nicole and sometimes Anni, working behind the counter. All people working here have patchwork experience, and can help with most of your questions relating to Patchwork.
With a large classroom out the back which was the original bar classes and workshops run frequently. With regular classes or guest tutors or specialised workshops there is always something interesting happening.
Pete spends his time in the Stables which is off the main building. He works here with Nicole who are the mail-order component of the business. So if you order via our website, these are the people who will process your order.
