About Us

The Home Patch is located 2½ hrs west of Sydney just past the lower Blue Mountains in the City of Bathurst. Pete and Anni started the shop in 2002 when Anni’s design business (Hatched and Patched) became too big to fit in her house. The shop contains many fabrics and patterns as well as interesting giftware.

The shop is positioned on the corner of the Highway, so if you’re coming from Sydney, just stay on the highway and you can’t miss us! Check out the map at the bottom of the page.

Originally, the building housing The Home Patch was an Inn which was built around 1870, so the building itself is full of charm and character. The shop is contained in the largest part of the Inn, with Michelle and Margaret, and sometimes Anni, working behind the counter. All people working here have patchwork experience, and can help with most of your questions relating to Patchwork.

Pete spends his time in the Stables which is off the main building. The girls sometimes feed him hay, but he does much prefer coffee. He works here with Deb and Di who are the mail-order component of the business. So if you order via our website, these are the people who will process your order.
